SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and driven National AI Deployment Manager to lead the end-to-end deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at a national level. This role requires expertise in driving AI adoption across diverse regions, collaborating with government stakeholders, and ensuring AI solutions are integrated and scaled effectively. You will be responsible for overseeing the national deployment strategy, providing leadership and guidance to regional teams, and ensuring alignment with government priorities and user needs. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing large-scale AI projects, training stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements through data-driven insights.

Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. We collaborate with governments, social sector organizations, academic and research institutions, and domain experts to identify real-world problems, and develop practical AI solutions to tackle these issues with the aim of making a substantial positive impact.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • National AI Deployment & Implementation:

    • Lead the planning, execution, and scaling of AI solutions across the country, ensuring their successful integration with national systems, workflows, and government priorities.

    • Collaborate with government departments, national administrators, and key stakeholders to customize AI solutions that align with national and regional needs.

    • Identify new deployment opportunities, guide the expansion of AI solutions, and engage with national policymakers to secure approvals and resources.

    • Lead the coordination between national and regional teams to ensure consistent and successful implementation.

  • User Support & Feedback:

    • Serve as the primary escalation point for national-level user support, ensuring timely resolution of minor technical issues and collaborating with central teams for complex technical challenges.

    • Actively collect user feedback across regions to inform future iterations and ensure solutions are tailored to diverse user needs across the country.

    • Prepare detailed reports and insights from user feedback and system performance, communicating findings to the product and tech teams to drive enhancements.

  • Training & Capacity Building:

    • Develop and deliver a national-level training strategy, including the creation of master trainer programs and training curricula to support the roll-out of AI solutions.

    • Conduct national and regional training sessions, ensuring that trainers are equipped to scale the adoption of AI solutions at the local level.

    • Create and distribute comprehensive training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures for stakeholders at all levels, ensuring broad-based capacity building.

    • Collaborate with local and regional partners to foster sustainable AI adoption and enhance grassroots capacity.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Oversee the collection and analysis of data from AI deployments across the nation, identifying key trends and actionable insights to improve solution performance and user engagement.

    • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create dashboards and reports that communicate progress, success metrics, and opportunities for optimization.

    • Conduct detailed user research and report findings to national stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

  • Collaboration with National & Product Teams:

    • Work closely with national government agencies and administrators to facilitate the adoption of AI solutions and identify opportunities for integration with other government initiatives.

    • Collaborate with product and tech teams to ensure the development of scalable, efficient, and locally relevant AI solutions.

    • Document and communicate any national or regional-specific customization needs, aligning the solution to meet local and national priorities.

  • Leadership & Strategic Vision:

    • Provide leadership in the national deployment of AI solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and national goals.

    • Drive the development of best practices and a structured methodology for AI deployment that can be replicated across regions.

    • Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of national AI initiatives.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Proficient in data analysis, visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and AI solutions implementation at scale.

    • Deep understanding of AI technologies, their integration into existing systems, and troubleshooting strategies.

    • Ability to lead large-scale virtual and in-person training sessions, utilizing a range of platforms and tools.

    • Experience gathering, documenting, and translating user feedback into actionable product improvements.

  • Product & Stakeholder Management:

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels (local, regional, and national).

    • Proven ability to work with government agencies, policymakers, and administrators to drive technology adoption.

    • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Leadership & Problem Solving:

    • Demonstrated ability to lead national deployment efforts and overcome challenges related to diverse user needs, government regulations, and technology integration.

    • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a proven track record of driving AI adoption in a national context.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Policy, Product Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in AI deployment, technology project management, or public sector initiatives.

  • Proven track record in managing large-scale AI implementations, ideally at a national level.

  • Experience working in government, public administration, or large-scale social impact sectors (e.g., health, education, agriculture) is highly desirable.

  • Previous experience in training, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.
