SUMMARY
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert to develop comprehensive learning paths and assessment content for our AI-powered Spoken English training tool. In this 6-month project, the selected candidate will design structured learning progressions from beginner to advanced levels and create assessment materials that evaluate pronunciation, fluency, and other speaking skills. The ideal candidate will have expertise in English language instruction and assessment design, with particular focus on addressing the unique needs of Indian English learners in professional andeducational settings. This role will directly shape how users learn and improve their spoken English abilities through our technology-enabled assessment and practice system.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify appropriate question types and assessment formats for speaking skills

Define difficulty levels and progression criteria from beginner to advanced

Design structured learning journeys based on user research

Create guidelines for skill progression between levels

Develop assessment content at different difficulty levels

Establish clear assessment criteria for each level and question type
REQUIREMENTS
-
Degree in Applied Linguistics, TESOL/TEFL, Language Assessment, or related field

3+ years of experience in English language teaching and/or assessment design

Experience developing learning progression frameworks and proficiency criteria

Familiarity with technology-mediated language learning tools

Strong content development and instructional design skills
